Claudio Giordano advises on a range of domestic, EU and international business taxation matters. He has gained extensive experience in double taxation, transfer pricing, permanent establishment, and tax planning in connection with domestic and cross-border acquisitions and reorganizations. He assists companies with VAT issues related to international trade.
He coordinates a European study group bringing together VAT specialists from independent law firms across different Member States. He advises entrepreneurs and families on succession planning, governance structures and asset protection. He also has experience serving supervisory bodies. Admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court (Court of Cassation), he represents clients in tax litigation.
He is recognized by The Legal 500 EMEA as a Leading Individual in the Tax field and has been ranked by Chambers & Partners Europe for 17 consecutive years.
He graduated in Law from Sapienza University of Rome and subsequently specialised in Tax Law at LUISS. Since 2008, he has taught on the Master in Tax Law at LUISS Business School and, since 2020, on the preparatory course for admission to the Special Register of Advocates entitled to appear before the Italian Supreme Court. He is the author of Italy – Tax Risk Management, Country Tax Guides 2026 for IBFD and is a member of the Italian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He speaks Italian, English and French.
He has been equity partner of Nunziante Magrone since 2017.
